How We Review Hotels
The methodology behind every Tripunto hotel classification.
Three segments, one honest standard
Every hotel on Tripunto is sorted into exactly one of three segments. This is an editorial decision, made by comparing a hotel against its peers in the same district — it is not a paid placement and it is not derived from affiliate commission rates.
The top tier in a district — exceptional property standard, service and guest experience, usually at a premium price point.
Strong quality relative to price — hotels that consistently over-deliver for what you pay.
A dependable, no-surprises option — solid for travelers who want a straightforward stay without paying for extras they won't use.
What we look at
Classification and the Tripunto Verdict written for each hotel are based on a combination of factors: location and beach access, room and property standard, guest ratings across external platforms (such as Booking.com), what the hotel is genuinely well-suited for (families, golf, couples, nightlife, and so on), and any consistent complaints that come up across reviews.
We do not stay at every hotel ourselves. Where we have not personally verified a property, this is reflected honestly in the page's verification status rather than implied otherwise.
Tripunto Verified
Hotel pages marked Tripunto Verified have had their core details — pricing tier, amenities, location claims — checked against primary sources as of the date shown on the page. We recheck verified pages periodically rather than treating verification as a one-time event.
No pay-to-rank
