Taxis
Taxis are metered and widely available in Antalya city and larger resort towns, but less reliable in smaller districts like Kemer or rural Side. Confirm the meter is running ("taksimetre") before you set off, and expect a modest airport-approach surcharge on top of the metered fare. Apps like BiTaksi are common in Antalya city and generally more predictable than hailing on the street.
Public Transport (Antalya City)
Antalya city has a functional tram (Antray) and an extensive bus network, both usable with an Antalyakart (a rechargeable transit card sold at kiosks and machines). This works well if you are staying in Konyaalti or Lara and want to visit the old town or museum without a taxi, but it does not meaningfully connect the outlying resort districts like Belek, Side, Kemer or Alanya to each other.
Getting Between Resort Districts
Belek, Side, Kemer and Alanya are 40-120 km apart from each other and from Antalya city, and there is no fast public transit between them. Intercity buses exist but are slow and infrequent for tourist-relevant routes. A private transfer or rental car is the realistic option if you want to hotel-hop or day-trip between districts.
Renting a Car
A rental car is worthwhile if you want to visit multiple sites independently (Aspendos, Perge, Termessos, or district-hopping) but adds real cost and hassle for a stay that is mostly resort-based. Turkish road rules and driving style can be more assertive than travelers from Northern Europe are used to — factor that in if you are an infrequent driver abroad.
For a single-resort all-inclusive stay, you likely will not need transport beyond the airport transfer. If you want to explore Antalya city or hop between districts, budget for either a rental car or pre-booked private transfers — public transport does not bridge the gap between resort towns.
