Antalya Airport Guide: Getting to Your Hotel

Antalya Airport (AYT) is the main gateway to the region, but transfer times and options vary significantly depending on which district your hotel is in.

Transfer Times by District

Lara and Konyaaltı are the closest, typically 15-25 minutes from the airport. Belek is around 35-45 minutes. Side and Kemer both run 45-60 minutes. Alanya is the furthest at over 90 minutes, which is why Gazipaşa Airport (GZP) is sometimes a better option for Alanya-based stays.

Pre-Booked Private Transfer vs Taxi

Pre-booking a private transfer is generally more predictable on price than hailing an airport taxi, where prices can vary and language barriers sometimes complicate negotiation. Most hotels can arrange this directly, or it can be booked independently in advance.

Shared Shuttle Buses

Budget-friendly shared shuttles run from the airport to major resort districts, though they typically involve multiple stops and take longer than a private transfer.

Renting a Car at the Airport

Car rental is available at the airport and can be worthwhile if you plan to explore beyond your resort — visiting Aspendos, Perge, or the Old Town — but is unnecessary if you plan to stay within an all-inclusive resort for your entire trip.

For most all-inclusive resort stays, a pre-booked private transfer offers the best balance of cost and convenience. Only consider a rental car if you plan to explore multiple sites outside your hotel.
