Best Time to Visit Bali: A Month-by-Month Guide

Bali has a tropical climate split into two broad seasons rather than four — the distinction that matters most is dry versus rainy, not temperature, which stays fairly warm year-round.

April to September — Dry Season

The most reliable weather, with lower humidity and less rain, making this peak season for a reason. July and August are the busiest and most expensive months, especially in Seminyak and Canggu — book well ahead if traveling then.

October and November, March — Shoulder Season

Some rain is possible, but usually as short afternoon showers rather than all-day downpours. A reasonable trade-off between weather reliability and lower prices/crowds.

December to February — Rainy Season

The wettest months, with more consistent and sometimes heavy rain, particularly January and February. Bali doesn't shut down in this season, but outdoor plans need more flexibility, and some remote roads can be affected.

May, June and September offer a strong middle ground — dry-season weather without the peak-August crowds and prices.
